Airkey successfully completed an ISO 5 modular cleanroom project for a medical technology company located in Chon Buri, Thailand. The cleanroom was designed to provide a highly controlled environment for regenerative medicine, cell therapy research, and high-end medical equipment applications.
The project utilized Airkey's Light Series modular cleanroom system and covers an area of 9 square meters with an internal clear height of 2.4 meters. The facility was designed to achieve ISO 5 Class 100 cleanliness standards, ensuring strict airborne particle control for sensitive medical and laboratory operations.

The client, INNOBELLE TRADING CO., LTD., is a Thailand-based supplier specializing in medical and laboratory equipment. The company focuses on regenerative medicine technologies, cell therapy solutions, and advanced medical aesthetic equipment.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of biological samples, laboratory testing, and precision medical instruments, the client required a cleanroom environment capable of maintaining stringent biosafety and contamination control standards.

Medical technology applications require exceptionally stable and controlled environments. Even microscopic airborne particles can carry microorganisms that may cause cross-contamination, affect experimental results, or compromise product quality.
In addition, many medical devices contain optical components and precision sensors that are highly sensitive to dust contamination. An ISO 5 cleanroom environment is essential to prevent particle accumulation and ensure reliable testing and assembly processes.
The project location presented another challenge. The cleanroom was installed on the fifth floor of an office building, requiring a solution that could be transported through elevators, assembled without generating dust, and integrated seamlessly into a professional office environment.

The cleanroom adopts Airkey's Light Series free-standing modular structure. The entire system is fully self-supporting and does not require suspension from ceilings or attachment to existing walls. This design avoids damage to the original building structure while allowing future relocation and reassembly if required.
To meet the client's requirements for visibility and aesthetics, the cleanroom utilizes high-strength aluminum alloy framing combined with transparent acrylic panels. The transparent enclosure allows operators to monitor internal activities in real time while maintaining a modern appearance suitable for office environments.
Personnel and material contamination control are achieved through the integration of an air shower and an electronic interlocking pass box. The interlocking system prevents both doors from opening simultaneously, reducing air exchange and minimizing the risk of contamination.
The lighting system incorporates embedded LED strip lights that are flush-mounted within the ceiling structure. This design provides excellent illumination while maintaining a smooth surface that does not interfere with airflow patterns or create dust accumulation points.
An independent control system enables centralized management of FFUs and lighting equipment. All electrical wiring is factory-integrated within the structural profiles before shipment, reducing installation complexity and enabling rapid plug-and-play commissioning on site.
Since the project was located on the fifth floor of an office building, all components were optimized during the design stage to fit standard elevators. Installation was completed using a fully modular assembly process without welding, cutting, or grinding, ensuring a clean and low-disruption construction process.

The completed ISO 5 modular cleanroom provides a highly controlled environment for medical technology applications while maintaining flexibility, aesthetics, and ease of installation. The modular design enabled efficient deployment within an office building setting while meeting strict cleanliness requirements for biological research and medical equipment operations.
This project demonstrates the advantages of modular cleanroom technology for medical laboratories, cell therapy facilities, regenerative medicine applications, and other environments requiring high-level contamination control.
